The struggle for freedom and the well-being of a people is the order of the day. A society either flourishes or decays according to its guiding values.
Since the neo-leftist revolution of 1968, large sections of the Swiss population have devoted themselves to a false sense of self-realization. Love and community spirit are waning. Egoism is booming. Society is fragmenting. Meaninglessness and loneliness are inevitable consequences.
The “Swiss Civil Forum” is mainly supported by a small group of people who have been engaged in Christian-conservative political PR since 2008. Between 2008 and 2020, leaders of the predecessor organization “Swiss Family Lobby” launched projects aimed at constructively changing public discourse and social values. From the outset, public protest (PR campaigns, large demonstrations) was chosen as the form of action. The projects (opposition to the communication of Europride 2009; March for Life 2010–2020) received a great deal of media coverage. The “March for Life” even succeeded in establishing a new public brand in favor of the unrestricted right to life of unborn children.
In light of the disproportionate and damaging coronavirus policy of the Federal Council in spring 2020, leaders and supporters who had backed the activities of “Swiss Family Lobby” launched a new political PR campaign as part of the newly founded “Swiss Civil Forum”. A brief report on the project work for 2020–2025 can be found here.
Opposition to the Federal Council's coronavirus and vaccination policies will remain in the focus of the “Swiss Civil Forum.” In view of the colossal damage that could have been avoided, it is imperative that the coronavirus policies be reviewed and those responsible be held accountable. Strong organizations such as Massvoll, Aletheia, Verfassungsfreunde, etc. are highly active in pursuing this goal. The Swiss Civil Forum will comment on situations and activities as necessary and support them where possible.
However, in view of the politically and socially damaging secularization of the Swiss national churches, the “Pastors Check” campaign will form the new focus of our project work from May 2023.
